Job Description And Duties
Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 , and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.
Under the supervision of the Nurse Consultant III (Supervisor) (NC III (Sup)), CalAIM, and the clinical guidance of the Supervising Registered Nurse II (SRN II), CF, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), CalAIM , assists in the implementation of the CalAIM for Justice Involved (JI) Initiative, Whole Person Care Program (WPCP), Complete Care Model (CCM), and other clinical initiatives by integrating its guidelines and protocols into the pre-release planning process. The LVN in collaboration with the healthcare team and other internal and external stakeholders, ensures the delivery of appropriate and timely pre-release health care services to the eligible patient population that are 90 days or less from their release date and is responsible for addressing the ongoing pre-release needs of patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
